Blueberry "Lemonade" Infused Water

Posted by Justin Gallagher on

Thanks so much for stopping by InfuseZen! We're excited to share our water bottles with you and know that they will make a huge impact on your life, just like they have on ours. Summer is on the way and lemonade is a long time favorite drink of mine. The problem is that it has a lot of sugar and therefore calories so it's not necessarily something I want to be drinking all of the time. I have tried lemonade drink mixes with sugar substitutes and they are OK, but they usually leave a strange aftertaste in my mouth. The solution? A healthy fruit infused water with blueberries and lemons and no sugar or additional sweeteners; the blueberries add a natural sweetness so that no other additives are needed. The recipe is simple and the taste is delicious! Here is how I make it:

Blueberry Lemon Infused Water Recipe

  • Frozen blueberries
  • A few slices of lemons
That's it! The amount of each that you need will depend on your size water bottle. With our InfuseZen 32oz bottles we used about a 1/3 cup of frozen blueberries and 3 thin lemon slices cut in half. I like to keep the slices thin so that the "lemonade" is not too tart. Fresh blueberries work great for this recipe too... I keep a lot of frozen fruit on hand so I can have a new infused creation every day. The blueberries whether frozen or fresh will give your infused water a great blue/purple color so it is visually appealing as well as tasty. Let us know what you think of this recipe or leave one of your own in the comments.

  • This is such a great idea! I am trying to watch my sugar intake, but artificial sweeteners always give me a headache. I have to try this!
